M-Tron Capabilities in Tools, Technology and Experience Precision intricate specialty parts are what makes M-Tron standout from its competitors. A 25,000 square foot facility in San Fernando, California houses a staff of technologists, machinists and managers. Since its founding in 1960, M-Tron has been using the latest in machine tools and computer systems with the goal of complete DNC (Distributed Numerical Control) for shop floor control and CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing). ESPIRIT CAD/CAM software integrates the turning, milling and wire EDM departments. The capability of automatic wirecutting and wire threading allows unattended Wire EDM production far into the night. Our in-house facilities are: C.N.C. Milling Traveling Wire E.D.M. Precision Grinding C.N.C. Turning Conventional E.D.M. Deburring & Assembly Laser Engraving Inspection In addition we have conventional capabilities for: Jig Boring Drilling Lapping Honing Milling Grinding Precision components manufactured by M-Tron are in use on NASA's Space Shuttle and Boeing's Space Station. We have extensive experience dealing with non-ferrous and exotic materials such as Inconel, HY-MU 80 Tungsten Carbide, Ceramics, Metal Matrix, Vanadium Permador, Hastelloy, Carbon and Graphite composites.
